Schoeps miniCMiT grau
The new Schoeps MiniCMIT microphone is significantly smaller than the CMIT5 but has exactly the same acoustic properties and directional characteristics. By miniaturizing the electronics, Schoeps has succeeded in creating a shotgun microphone that is only 151 mm long. In comparison, the well-known CMIT5U is 251 mm. Thus, 10 cm has been removed from the CMIT5 microphone. The filter buttons have disappeared, and there is a new, very stylish fixed low-cut filter of 24 dB/octave at 70 Hz.
Besides being much smaller, the MiniCMIT is also 17 g lighter (only 78 grams), making it ideal for use on a boom pole. Due to its compact size and transparent sound (minimal coloration) of off-axis sound, the MiniCMIT is also suitable for use in smaller rooms with low ceilings. Because of these properties, the Schoeps MiniCMIT is also very suitable for camera use.
The new MiniCMIT fits in the new Cinela Pianissimo windshield. Cinela has developed a new suspension/shock mount specifically for the MiniCMIT. Cinela has now become the industry standard in the windshield area for serious sound engineers on location. The low weight and size of the Pianissimo make it a top combination.
