This new "Rear Rejection Microphone" is a unique directional microphone that is particularly suitable for special conditions where most microphones fail. The CSR-2 has a very strongly suppressed rear. In other words, the sound coming from behind is significantly suppressed. At 500Hz, this can be as much as 26dB! This makes sound recording in a busy café, stadium, or other noisy environments much easier. The CSR-2 provides a solution for various sound engineers in challenging situations.

The CSR-2 uses three microphone capsules, with a traditional capsule used for mid and high frequencies and two others for mid and low frequencies. The Rear Rejection feature can also be turned off, giving you a standard directional microphone at your disposal.
