The Ambient ATM216 "TinyMike" is a miniature electret shotgun microphone that delivers exceptional sound quality in a compact design. Weighing only 30 grams and measuring 14 cm in length, this microphone is smaller than most pens. Thanks to its hypercardioid polar pattern, the ATM216 captures clear sound from the front while minimizing ambient noise from the sides. The microphone has a frequency response of 20 Hz to 18 kHz and requires no additional power or batteries; it can be powered directly by the low voltage from DSLR or small HD cameras. For use with cameras featuring XLR inputs and 48V phantom power, an active adapter cable is available.
