Schoeps MK 4 XP
Schoeps MK 4XP
The Schoeps MK 4XP is a small diaphragm condenser microphone capsule with a cardioid polar pattern, specifically designed for very close speech recording, directly in front of the speaker's mouth. This capsule compensates for low-frequency roll-off due to the proximity effect, resulting in a flat frequency response for the speaker's voice, while sounds from further away are less prominently captured.
Key Features
- Cardioid Polar Pattern: Ideal for very close speech recording, with a flat frequency response for the speaker's voice.
- Compensation for Low-Frequency Roll-off: The proximity effect compensates for low-frequency roll-off, ensuring a natural sound capture.
