More info & specs about the DBSM & DBSMD: HERE (pdf)

The transmitters are fully compatible with the DSQD, DCHR, and DCR822 digital receivers and feature a tuning range of 470 to 608 MHz (470 to 614 MHz for the E01 version).

The DBSM and DBSMD can be configured as either transmitters or recorders, with files stored on microSD card memory in the industry standard Broadcast Wave .wav (BWF) format at 24 bits, 48 kHz sample rate. The TA5M mic/line connector also acts as a timecode input for jam sync with master clocks on set, making audio file alignment quick and easy in post-production.

RF power selections are selectable at 10, 25, and 50 mW. In addition, a new, high-density transmission mode (HDM) at 2 mW allows for much tighter channel spacing, yielding more than double the operating frequencies per available spectrum. Firmware updates are required for the DSQD, DCHR, and DCR822 receivers to use this new high-density mode. Wireless Designer software must also be updated to take advantage of this new mode.

The transmitters have the same physical shape and size as the previous generation SMWB and SMDWB transmitters, thus can use the same accessories, including battery eliminators, pouches, and belt clips.
